Lucie Wuescher

Lucie is the Private Sector Partner, located at the firm’s headquarters in Austin, Texas. She brings more than 27 years of public accounting experience leading large-scale internal audit and compliance teams at firms such as PwC, KPMG, and Forvis Mazars serving Fortune 500 organizations in the energy, utilities, midstream, manufacturing, and technology industries. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Westminster College.

She brings more than 27 years of public accounting experience leading large-scale internal audit and compliance teams at firms such as PwC, KPMG, and Forvis Mazars serving Fortune 500 organizations in the energy, utilities, midstream, manufacturing, and technology industries.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Westminster College.

As a Risk Architect, Lucie meticulously evaluates processes and systems, identifying risks and inefficiencies.  Her expertise transforms complexity into streamlined, robust frameworks that drive compliance and operational excellence.  She has served clients in varying capacities—from leading full outsourced internal audit functions and serving as Chief Audit Executive, to directing SOX implementations, enterprise risk assessments, and internal audit transformations—providing assurance to leadership, boards, and directors that their organizations are operating on solid ground.

She currently serves on The Institute of Internal Auditors Chapter Board of Governors in Austin and past roles on The IIA International’s Three Lines of Defense Advisory Board, shaping global guidance on risk governance.  Lucie is a frequent speaker at industry conferences on internal audit transformation, industry sector risks, and governance frameworks.
